A component of each of the children & young peoples' services within The WEB Project is to provide Sexual Health Programmes, which focus on topics relevant to the individual needs of each young person.
The aim of this work is to:
Specific standards which we have set for this work are:
Young People must be able to contribute to programme development and activities
The WEB Project workers and host referring agencies are ‘joined up’ within local sexual health networks
A local community perspective must be included in any programme design to ensure the content is relevant to real life issues for young people
Parents and carers are encouraged to work in partnership with our service to ensure specific learning/cultural needs are met, whilst balancing young peoples' right to sexual health service
Workers' knowledge of current events/trends/risk behaviours should influence the targeting of programme
