CAIRScotland assists people involved in a range of risk behaviours - substance misuse, unsafe sexual activity and offending - to identify ways of making, and sustaining, positive change in their life, which takes into account the needs of their family network and the wider community.
It believes that all people, no matter their age, should be fully involved, so far as they are able, in all aspects of their assessment, treatment, care and support.
They should be provided with all the information and support necessary to enable them to participate fully in their own recovery.
In order to do this we aim to ensure that:
Workers seek to reduce the damage caused to service users, their family and the wider community as a result of their behaviours.
Workers act in a professional and responsible way at all times. They should be honest and fair, act with integrity, be conscientious and take into account their obligations under the law and to the wider public interest.
