The Cairn Centre Harm Reduction Service is open access, and provides support to individuals with substance misuse problems, particularly those not in contact with other services. We offer:
• sterile syringe and needle distribution
• safe syringe and needle disposal
• advice and information on substance use and treatment options
• advice on HIV, Hepatitis B & C and other blood borne viruses
• advice on Hepatitis B immunization
• overdose prevention and response advice and information
• referral for Hepatitis C testing and treatment
• advice on safer sex and sexual health
• condom distribution
• chlamydia postal testing kits
• advice and support on other health and social welfare problems
• referral to other treatment services
